If you believe that material available on a College-owned or controlled website infringes your copyright, you must submit a written notification to the College’s designated agent:

To be effective under the DMCA, a notification of claimed infringement must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit the College to locate the material (e.g., URL);
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit the College to contact the complaining party (e.g., name, address, telephone number, and email address);
- A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner; and
- A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest.
Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you posted was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to the designated agent. The counter-notification must include:
- Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal;
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address, and telephone number;
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district and will accept service of process from the complaining party; and
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Repeat Infringer Policy
Bevill State Community College will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts or access of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
